Klybourne is a space where “likes” aren’t counted, and where you’re not judged by the number of followers you have or “thumbs up” you receive. Our platform is about showing your true self and sharing your work with the community you admire. More specifically, it’s where we look to improve the experience of college entrance, job search, business promotion, and boosting your own online presence. We aim to connect our users with their futures, all while doing so with humility and professionalism.
Yes! The user is in total control as far as posts or any other info of theirs they want to make public. You can have the option to make your post for just your followers, or you can expand your network and have it for everyone to see. You can make yourself as public or private as you’d like.
There will be no ‘likes’, public commenting or emojis on Klybourne. We wanted to deviate from the online popularity contest social media has become and give users the freedom to post what they’re proud of, without feeling like their post needs to be validated by a ‘thumbs-up’. Users can privately message other users, but there will be no public comments. Users will also be able to see how many views their post received, if it was shared, and who viewed their post. All of these numbers will be internalized for just the user to see.
That is the goal of the platform. We want to create a global platform where users can construct their personal portfolio for not only themselves, family, friends and peers, but also for colleges, universities, hiring agencies and potential employers. We want Klybourne to be a one-stop shop so that anyone looking for the next generation of talent can have a completely transparent view into that person and see their story.
Yes! Klybourne is all about connecting with people you may not even know yet. Our users will be able to filter what posts they see by a wide range of interests and metrics. We want users to connect with people they may not even know yet, but that share their same interests.
That’s easy. They can simply send you a direct message looking to connect and start the conversation.
Yes! We want to ‘humanize’ the college and job application process. You’re more than a piece of paper and we want others to see all that you have to offer. Be creative, standout, and be proud of who you are. We want to connect users with those that will have a positive impact on their lives.
